31 students from Rainham School for Girls took part in Sportshall Athletics Training on Tuesday 9th January 2018.
With a busy period approaching for the Kent Schools Games programme in the coming weeks, our young leaders have a very important role to play. As well as helping to guide our participants through the day, they also assist with the timing, scoring and judging of a wide range of events.
As part of their training and to help aid their understanding of the various activities, the girls also had a chance to have a go at the events themselves and had a lot of fun—particularly in the relays!
With many of the girls undertaking the training studying GCSE PE, it also meant we at Kent Sport could help them expand their knowledge and gain some valuable experience of leading at a sporting event.
They are crucial to the smooth running of the Sportshall Athletics events and their help and enthusiasm is always appreciated—so thank you!!
