Physical Disability Festival @ YMCA Maidstone

Physical Disability Festival @ YMCA Maidstone

On Friday 8th December 2017 YMCA Maidstone played host to a Physical Disability Festival as part of the Kent School Games programme. A busy schedule saw more than 30 participants from five different schools experience a range of sports and activities including Zumba, Rowing, Seated Volleyball, Tennis, Boccia, and Power Chair Football.

Bradfield’s Academy and New Line Learning Academy combined to provide 13 young leaders to assist with the day’s activities, and were integral to the smooth operation of the day. They also quite enjoyed having a go at the Power Chair Football!

A great day was had by all, and everyone is already looking forward to the next one.

Schools in attendance on the day:

Five Acre Wood

The Malling

Thamesview

New Line Learning Academy

The Beacon

Special thanks must also go to Jim Barton of LTA Events, and Adam McEvoy from Valence School for the provision of equipment and coaching on the day.
